Very good basic corded phone EXCEPT the display is hard to read

Good quality rugged phone. It appears to be the same phone I've been selling from Panasonic for 10 years as the layout and features are identical. only has the AT&T logo instead of Panasonic. This phone recently died for good. The only drawback is that the display is very difficult to read. You just have to look at the right angle to get a good view. Everything else is quality. I have a separate caller ID field so I can see who is calling and only use the display when calling.

Pros
  • Basic corded controls with display dial, hold, mute, last number redial, flash, handset and ringer volume control
Cons
  • Unusable features

Caller ID very hard to read

Overall it's a good phone. I bought this phone because I wanted to use it where I don't have an outlet - it only takes 4 AA batteries, a note - to redial the number, you should put it on speakerphone first or use the handset Caller ID- Display and see the number because the background below is cluttered with images, letters and numbers that you see all the time, your date and incoming calls are displayed on top of all this clutter and are very difficult to read

Pros
  • Network mode
Cons
  • Security

The numbers are easy to spot.

Very disappointed. This is a beautiful phone. It doesn't light up, so it's hard to tell who's calling or dialing. I want the screen to be brighter. The previous phone did it so you could see who was calling right away. The name is not displayed if the number is stored in speed dial. So you have to wait for the device to answer the call to see who is calling if you don't recognize the number. Now I don't always recognize the number as some of the numbers are new, but the numbers I call often do.

Pros
  • 14-digit speed dial
Cons
  • I'm nervous

Garbage - Return

This phone is garbage. Don't waste your time and money. 1) The distance between the poles it needs to be mounted to is smaller than the actual standard wall mount found in most homes (house=4" center, phone about 3" center), so only one Pole can be used, making it unstable on the wall. 2) The cable that goes into the back of the phone and then into the wall is MUCH longer than the space the device allows to roll up (so the end of the cable is hanging from the back of the phone and off the…
