Nice phone with speaker but only needs batteries for speaker function

Does exactly what I need but was very disappointed to find that batteries are required for speaker function. This should be better explained in the description - in the past I've had regular corded phones with a speaker that didn't require batteries and based on the description I figured batteries were only needed for advanced features like caller ID etc.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence

  • Lots of stuff

I had to return: phones and accessories

No sound on handset. If I wanted to answer or make a call, I had to use the speakerphone. And what's the problem with AT&T phones if they don't hang up completely? I've had three and all of them end the call and you either get this instant call back from the previous call or you stand there doing morse code and hitting a key a million times to get a dial tone. One of the reasons I had to replace a previous phone (AT&T) was that the "in use" line was still lit because even after several hours…

Great landline phone

This phone replaced an identical (10 year old) machine in my kitchen that had a static problem that other phones in the house didn't have. During the replacement process, I found electrical corrosion in a DSL filter attached to a modular wall outlet that also doubled as a phone mounting plate. So the phone was still fine, but I installed a new one anyway, only to find a broken mount. Revain quickly corrected this situation after the affiliated retailer had trouble replacing the mount. I love…

disabled aunt for office electronics

I have a disabled aunt who is very old fashioned when it comes to technology. She searched and searched for a new landline phone for her bedroom. She needed a phone with a bright backlight, large buttons, and letters and numbers. She has rheumatoid arthritis and has trouble holding on to things or pressing small buttons. She absolutely loved this phone. She was so excited about all the big things on it and was super excited that it has a big speaker button. She says everything works, she can…

This product is a good choice but

I never received it as it got lost in the post! I bought it in a competitive large box through their online system. And so I paid more for the phone. It works well though, and for me it's a budget choice for what I needed, which is a wired phone. I have Voice over Internet (VoIP) service and my cordless phone doesn't work with my particular cable/Internet provider. This phone and model nailed it, so Revain's price and choice is the way to go if the order isn't lost. Also, this phone model…
