AT&T phones aren't what they used to be.

The AT&T phone system has been in my business for 15 years. I was able to switch from one line to another without having to physically hang up. When you speak to a customer, other people can accidentally tap your line because you can't tell who is on which line. they flash at different speeds, not when someone is being held. There are different ringtones for ringing different lines; I have no idea how that helps. Numbers on the phone are huge and when you press them, the dialing is delayed…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Something's wrong

From day one I regretted buying this system. The headset is a joke. The headset is a separate piece and CANNOT hold calls. A REAL problem for the admin. The answering machine is another joke. The message left can only be heard through the speaker, so EVERYONE in the office can hear it. Now that the system has only been up and running for a few years. When you're using the speaker (to keep your hands free) it dials numbers and then stops almost every time. When you answer a call, you often hear…

It works fine on the landline

I use this system in a small office with 6 employees. I have a base station that is connected to Verizon Home Connect, which allows me to use this system with my cell phone account. Specifically, I've connected it to 3 Verizon home devices, allowing the system to function as a 3-line office phone system. In addition to the base unit, we have 2 other desk phones and 3 cordless phones. So everything is fine with the system. It's better suited for home use as it just isn't reliable enough in an…

Cons
  • I have no complaints about it, everything is fine

I bought this basic phone along with 4 phones in January. The voicemail setup was atrocious and we had to call tech support twice to set up an outbound voicemail. A few days after the installation, the voice messages left by our customers were cut off. The line just hung in the middle of the message. We called At&T and they "rebooted" our phone. It worked for about a week. We had to restart the phone again (because we already know how). It worked fine again for about a month, and then it…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...

This phone works great except for the following features that are really lagging behind.1. cannot mute individual lines. For example, if I want line 4 to be used as a backup line and as a fax line, I CANNOT mute that line so it doesn't sound loud.2. Headsets only work with cordless desk phones (sb67148) and base, not cordless handsets (sb67108). So stupid. RCA does this and if they made a 4 line version of their phone I would choose that because the 2 line version works really well. Is there a…

I am so happy I bought this

We have had a similar Panasonic phone for 10 years. Base and 4 extensions, we have 3 phone lines. Eventually it died. We bought an RCA phone from another vendor, a base and 4 extensions. You won't believe that if ONE person answers the phone NOBODY could use other liens or phones. Stupid. So I returned it and checked it out here at Revain. There are some reviews here that say portable phones didn't last long and made me reluctant to buy them. But we've been to every stationery store and…

Good phone system for a small office, with some features

As another reviewer noted - this phone is a system expansion device and requires an AT&T SynJ base unit SB67158 dect_6.0 1 - handset 4 landline phone for the work. We bought a base, a wireless extender and four of these desk extenders. The product description doesn't make it clear enough that with this system you don't need phone lines in the wall, just an outlet for each phone. They communicate with each other wirelessly. They perform many functions that are useful for small businesses. Each…
