Don't buy it sucks.

Doesn't heat, almost doesn't heat even at maximum power for two hours I've been careful to do everything right and even left it on all day is just a waste of money.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Damaged

Great heating pad for the price

I really like these heating pads. The fact that they have thermostats really helps. At the top end, this mat is good at dissipating heat. I use them on 10 gallon tanks to provide a nice thermal gradient.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poorly designed

You get value for your money!

This heating pad is VERY HOT at maximum temperature and should never be installed on your reptiles. Otherwise, I only turn the knob 1-2 centimeters from the off position, which is perfect. I wrapped it in a little pillowcase and put it under my 50 gallon and it became my snake's new favorite hideout!

Pretty good for the price

This is a good heating pad for the price, you need to use your own glue, I use tape and it works well! The temperature dial isn't great, you can't tell exactly what temperature you set it to, so I recommend always having a thermometer with you to check the temperature every day, but it's still a good alternative to other expensive ones heating pad. (I use it for my lion geckos and dart frogs)

Very good price for a tank heater.

I needed a way to keep my isopod cultures both warm and dark. This keeps them evenly warm at 76-78 degrees Fahrenheit. This is optimal for their health and reproduction. Some keep isopods as pets, and mine are part of the bioactive vivarium cleaning crew along with the springtails. This would be a good addition to a cockatiel aquarium or other small aquarium. In aquariums with plants, underfloor heating stimulates growth and keeps tropical fish happy.

Pros
  • Hard wearing surface
Cons
  • Newer model available

Happy Fish in Reptiles & Amphibians

I'm Betta, sitting by my granddaughter's fish. At night I turn off the heating and during the day the poor thing hardly moves. I did some research and found that the water was over 10 degrees colder for him. I read the reviews on this reptile heating pad and also bought a thermometer. The switch on the heater doesn't really have a mark so I can tell if it's too hot etc. I made a mark on it. It heats the aquarium well and maintains a temperature of 75 degrees. Betta is swimming now. I haven't…
