Other than disappointment!

A highly reliable device that supports and plays all advertised formats and plays with ease. A few small notes: 1. Every time I remove the flash drive from the device and plug it into the computer (the device turned off when I removed the flash drive). It gives me an error message to scan and repair the drive. It has done this to several of my USB sticks, still works anyway but is annoyed that I have to scan and fix it every time I remove it from the device. And a second note: the automatic…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Great product but with some annoying flaws

Surprisingly handy device with a lot of technology for the price. I love that I can digitize my entire film collection and store it on a small hard drive and take it with me when I travel, especially in an RV. I had no problems playing my AV files from the MicroSD card or the 1TB external SSD I used. I have two complaints I want to address: The console is terrible. They opt for Apple-style minimalism, which is confusing at times. The remote gear is the most sensitive (least sensitive?) I've…

If you liked Windows 98

This is like using a computer in the late 1990's. When you first see the device, it seems like it has potential. However, once it's activated, you'll find that whoever developed the firmware for this thing has been transported back to a time when we didn't expect much from computerized devices. File recognition is not an easy task. Navigating Windows requires a lot of button presses on the remote control, which apparently must be aimed squarely at the little guy. Hit or miss subheadings no…

More than I expected

Bought to play my kids video library on long car rides. The car has a component audio/video input, so that was my basic requirement. However, I was quite impressed with the overall quality of this product. It's designed to be resistant to future video file formats and also supports my 2TB external USB drive (note: few media players support ExFAT drives - if you have a large drive to mount, keep that in mind). The remote control is simple and easy to use. I don't have a 4K TV, but it's nice to…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Crumpled

Actually plays mp4 but has minor performance issues

To speed things up, the player is about 3 inches tall, black, with an on/off indicator and two USB ports slots / 1 micro SD slot / and an HDMI output slot. It plays well, and will actually look for an additional 2TB hard drive if the file isn't buried too deep in the folder slot, and even then it seems that in the end I'm just talking. The OSD is basic but shouldn't be anything spectacular at first. It does its job. I was also able to play MP4, WMV and AVI on it. , its functionality is limited…

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

The gadget must have a compatibility list for SD and USB drives.

Convenient and practical next to the TV. I can see many films. BUYERS, please note that the gadget does not read a number of SD cards and flash drives, but the seller must include a list of SD cards and USB drives that are compatible with the gadget. I can record many videos and play them at any time. The device is very easy to use, but the remote control can be tricky, you have to place it right in front of the gadget. I try to keep a distance of less than 6 feet. There is room for…
