Axle fixed for round dies

This worked for trimming the axle on my 1991 Camry. I scored the axle, ruined the threads, and this cube got caught in the clutch. Should work for any axle bolt.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

Is working. And good. for dies

saved my pressure washer. My high pressure outlet hose had cross threads when I loaned it to a mate. The manufacturer didn't sell the fitting themselves and wanted to charge $140 for the manifold. I turned it on the faucet several times and was back in business.

Pros
  • hands-free device
Cons
  • very expensive

04 Rav4 half shaft on round dies

Worked great. I used the old axle nut to strip the thread on the axle shaft a little (I don't know how), so I bought a new nut. Doesn't go in smoothly and doesn't want to keep mopping up the rest. I bought this thread die to tighten everything first. It took me 30 minutes to an hour to smoothly tighten the axle nut. Make sure you have the right size threaded insert for your axle shaft, good grip gloves, and a flat head punch + hammer when push comes to shove.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
