🌡️ Atwood 38453 Thermostat: Precise Temperature Control for Optimal Comfort and Efficiency Review

The plastic on/off switch broke on my black original but this was a perfect replacement. Used on the Coachman Freedom Express Blast.

Installed in our camper, the on/off switch works a little better than on the old version, but you don't notice which temperature or temperature you are setting. I wouldn't buy it again.

This is a piece of crap. I bought it because the on/off switch on the old one broke. The new one is worse. If I press the power button without removing the cover and loosening the screw, the button breaks. Then I have to tighten the screw for the oven to work.

The thermostat is easy to install and connect. The quality seems to match the price. I have to wonder why they even bothered to attach a thermometer to the unit. Nobody could read. It's so small and the liquid is so light you just can't read it. Apart from this great offer for little money

The on/off lever on our Jayco trailer was very difficult to operate. This broke the plastic lever. This is an exact replacement and the on/off lever seems to work much better. Hopefully it was just a quality issue with the original and this one will last.

I have a Jaco Jayflight 31BHDS 2005. This item is exactly the same as the original one in my motorhome. Ease of installation. Just make sure you remember which of the two wires goes where. It marks the location of the white wire so you have to work really hard to mess it up. Also, be sure to tape the wires to the wall when you remove the old device so they don't get stuck back into the wall. You will have a big problem getting them. The Atwood 38453 thermostat appears to be stuck and can be reset by changing the thermostat temperature setting. The furnace worked from December 24 to January 3, from January 3 to January 7, from January 7 to 9, from January 9 to 10, from January 10 to 20 to January 21 at 2 o'clock in the morning, from January 21 to January 23, from January 23 to 25, from January 25 to 29 by bike from the thermostat. This is an RV thermostat for Atwood stoves. Installation took 10 minutes or less. Remove the old thermostat, make a note of which colored wires go to which terminals, and then connect those colors to the corresponding terminals on the new thermostat. If your old thermostat has additional colors that aren't present on your new thermostat, simply wrap each end in tape and attach to the wall. Easy to install. Works as advertised. Be sure to read the instructions and calibrate the anticipator properly. The manufacturer's instructions state: do not go below 0.48 as this will burn out the anticipator. It looks like it's already set to 1.0, which is good.
