Look carefully what they are.

We need to look carefully. One is low temperature, the other is high temperature. One terminal is smaller and is on the left.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some little things

Perfect replacement

The only reason for the 3 stars is that I really struggled to get the plastic tabs into the metal case properly. Seems like a much better design that allows them to rotate and snap into place would be better. I ended up installing them but was a bit frustrated.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Couldn't stand it, failed on vacation.

The thermostat broke on holiday and only had a week to install. Luckily the local bike shop had replacements in stock. I bought a brand name one for my new motorhome but had to use another brand that I bought for my old motorhome as it worked perfectly for over a year and was still working when I sold it.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Update available

Don't rush this article.

This item is listed as Prime so I expected it in 2 days. We needed this part when traveling and arranged to pick it up at a different address down the street. It actually took 8 days to arrive which was a problem for the pickup arrangement and was detrimental to us. This is still listed as a main item so please note it may not arrive as expected. The product came in a Dometic factory blister pack for the Atwood water heater.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Easy No Power/Light Lock

We have a 2006 Four Winds 5000 motorhome. Last week there was a power outage at our house (yes, we're in California!). We noticed that our water heater was not turning on. We flipped the switch and the light didn't come on. We checked all the fuses and found nothing. We used a voltmeter to find the fault. It was one of those thermostats. I just installed the new ones in about 5 minutes and now everything is glowing! The switch lamp lights up again. It was a really simple solution to a…

Prepackaged Test skipped

The two switches that were shipped had exactly the same temperature range. As a result, they incorrectly turned on my water heater. I spent a whole day diagnosing why the parts supplied were not working. Eventually I went to my local RV dealer and bought the same part number as the Revain at the same price. Dealer parts worked great. After examining Revain's thermal switches, I found that they were both ECO switches. They should be packed with an ECO and a thermostat. Unfortunately a complete…

Exact replacement for my Atwood water heater

Thermostats failing. And you can spend a lot of time looking for the reason why your water heater is not working. Check your thermostats with a multimeter, one shows no cold continuity, they both need to be replaced. It was easy to fix and required no tools. No more frustrations and no more exits in the dark with cables. Worth the cost. If you're having trouble with your water heater, clean the contacts and then check the thermostats. I've had two RV's and replacing the thermostat always solved

Solved my thermostat problems

Had a new trailer with a fancy water heater. The dealer couldn't fix it (they tried, they said they fixed it but after I brought it home it didn't work properly). I googled a bit and found that the root of most problems lies in these thermostats. I ordered this kit and it made an immediate difference, but it still didn't work 100% the way I expected it to. I removed the side of the Tstat and cleaned the heating surface with Scotchbright pads and replaced the back of the Tstat, vola! Works…
