🔍 Autel MaxiLink ML629 OBD2 Scanner: Enhanced Version of AL619 & ML619 for ABS SRS Engine Transmission Diagnosis, OBDII Scan Tool with Auto VIN, DTC Lookup, and Ready Test Review

This scanner gets the job done. However, finding ABS or transmission codes requires different steps than just reading a code. It really took a little while to understand this part. But it feels good. It's just not intuitive. It's not very difficult. You just have to play around with the menu a bit.

MaxiLink ML629 arrived quickly, very well packaged. I only had the option to read the engine codes on my Chevy Silverado, quickly installed, worked great with the quick start guide. The package includes an OBD cable, a PC cable, a MaxiLink box and a nice zippered storage bag. I will use it to read transmission codes and ABS.

this was exactly what i was looking for in an OBD reader at a price i appreciated. Not only can read engine codes, but also ABS and SRS. Also, unlike similarly priced models, all codes have been successfully cleared to start fresh. Not only was I satisfied with getting exactly what I expected, but DiagShop exceeded all expectations. Unlike any other purchase I've made from Revain, they included a handwritten note thanking them for the purchase and my trust in them. Would buy from them again.

Not very impressed. I've used it as a regular scan tool on a few cars and it works about the same as any cheap scan tool. It works with heavy equipment logs, but if you're in a professional field I'd spend extra money to get a higher level tool. The screen is bright and displays one function at a time. I couldn't view multiple items together. It didn't work for me on some automotive applications. I haven't hooked it up to very many Class 4-8 trucks, so I can't comment on how well it works for…

I like the color display, ease of use, simple design, practical layout, reliability, the ability to update the software via a PC, and especially the three-light system: red (problem), yellow (problem in the past / possible), green (good) light function. It found the same code as the expensive Advance Auto tool on my machine (P0340). Even though my check engine light went out before I hooked this tool up, it knows what codes have come and gone. I bought this because my check engine light came on in my car. I had no idea what it was so I bought an Autel Maxilink ML329. As soon as I got it, I plugged it into the OBD port, the device displayed the check engine light code. When I googled the code I thought it was my gas cap. I bought this scanner specifically for the live data feature instead of a cheaper one. When I hooked it up to my 1997 Mazda b4000, it didn't display real-time fuel trim data (although there was a PID for it). This was a disappointment as I saw two pros using much more expensive Autel scanners reading real time fuel trims from this very same car.
