Defective and can not solve the problem

After about 9 months of use. The display began to "pixelate" and the temperature reading became difficult to read. I've tried contacting both Amazon and Autometer and both claim I have to go through the other for an exchange/refund. I'd like to return this. Negative stars for this purchase due to defective product and poor customer service.

Works great, easy installation

If you own a Ford pickup, you probably know that the factory temperature sensor is practically useless. This gauge does exactly what I need - shows exactly how hot my engine coolant is - and is pretty easy to install. I especially like how the numbers get darker and the "WATER temp" label lights up when the headlights turn on. Nice gesture. The Autometer is also right that the numbers don't change too quickly, which doesn't bother you while driving.

Worked well throughout the warranty period.

I bought the AutoMeter because it was supposed to be a good "well known brand". In my experience it isn't, but it was certainly more expensive than many others. The meter started out working well with no issues, but then gradually lost a few LED segments (one at a time) until it became a "go and guess what the temperature" display. Hell, the factory gauge showed me perfectly that the temp was "somewhere between cold and hot". It's a shame to say that. I do not recommend this product for…

Carpet cleaning sensor.

I used this water temp sensor on my truckmount carpet cleaner. It's been in use for a few months now and works flawlessly. It handles the rigors of driving a hot car with no problem. The blue LCD display is bright and easy to read in daylight. This is an expensive sensor, but it's worth the investment compared to other digital sensors with all-black readings that aren't visible at night and difficult to see from a distance in daylight. If you are looking for a pressure gauge for your…

Super bright at night

The only negative I can say about this sensor is that the Cobalt series is SUPER bright. Yes, so bright that I had to apply 20% tint to the lens surfaces to darken them so they wouldn't distract me at night and cause my eyestrain! After that they were perfect. I can accurately monitor engine temperatures under heavy loads (towing, hills, hot weather, etc.) and have complete confidence in the sensor's accuracy. I checked the coolant temp with an infrared intake temp gauge and the gauge reads…
