SPECIFICATIONS -- Voltage: DC 12V(Supplied by Automotive Battery). Smoke output value: 10-13L/min. Output Pressure: 9-11PSI. Oppreating material: Mineral Oil or Baby Oil. WORKING PRINCIPLE -- The Smoke Machine heat up special oil(mineral oil or baby oil) into smoke and blow smoke into sealed pipe system. You will find out leak point in pipe in where has smoke. Please repair the part where leakage exists. With longtime high temperature, the smoke and oil will oxidize and deteriorate. It will infect the ser-vice life of smoke generated part, so please change smoke and oil regularly. When you use this detector the first time, please fill 20-30ml oil, not beyond this range. When the smoke output has water drops, please replace with fresh oil. Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the remaining oil in the detector. Liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK. Please fill fresh oil with equipped oil bottle.

Returned, looks cheap, no leak detection

Save money and get a leak detector with a pressure gauge. I was very disappointed with the cheap materials, I sent it back for a refund without even using it!

Beats the mechanic's dealer.

I used a tester to diagnose the evaporator system after the dealer ran two leak tests. They did not give me any useful information and unnecessarily replaced the solenoid. The one I tested has a built in air compressor and produces good smoke. It's plug and play. I found 3 evaporator leaks in about 2 minutes.

Good Smoker But Broken Switch

This is a great smoke machine that produces lots of smoke and gives you loads of accessories to get the job done. However, the product arrived with a defect; the power button did not work. When connected to the battery terminal it was always on. Overall, this is a good point for troubleshooting EVPA issues.

  • Smoke and oil oxidize and decompose at high temperatures over long periods of time. This will affect the life of the smoke-generating part, so change the smoke and oil regularly. When using this detector for the first time, fill in 20-30ml of oil without exceeding this range. If water droplets appear at the smoke outlet, replace the oil with fresh oil. Drain the remaining oil from the detector before adding fresh oil. Liquid paraffin and baby oil are suitable. Please fill fresh oil into the oil bottle.

Bad quality control. The tank was empty, apparently the device was never tested.

I just opened it up and turned it on and the machine is leaking and the power button doesn't work. The machine is always on when connected to the battery. A bit disappointed when the car leaks, it doesn't do me much good to find an evaporator leak. Waited too long to have so many problems. Wouldn't buy again. Wouldn't recommend it. GM Service Engineer, 12 years in the industry.

Not worth $$$! Suitable for Fuel Leak Detector

Read the instructions carefully more than once before use and follow very limited guidelines for initial use and fine-tuning. On first use the machine initially worked as expected and produced a decent amount of smoke, after about 3-4 minutes the machine itself began to smoke heavily from the cooling holes and the rubber hose melted just past the outlet on the back.
