Avarelle Hydrocolloid Calendula: Certified Cruelty Free Acne Spot Treatment Review

I bought the 40K but I'm so excited about the 80K! This is life saving. I have cystic/hormonal acne and it works wonders. Even when I don't have a blackhead, I put them on a cystic pimple and the patches help reduce the inflammation/size. I also put XL patches on my nose and they pulled oil and dirt out of my pores. The skin afterwards became much cleaner and softer. I can't get any further without it. I've had a lot of breakouts lately, especially with masks, so I use them daily.

I used to buy a pack of Corsx acne patches but wanted to try something a little more subtle. So I found them while browsing tons of other brands. They're fairly affordable and work a lot better than the Corsx. Corsx spots are much thicker and slightly yellowish (these Avarelle spots are very clear and thin). The Corsx also didn't soak up as much dirt as these Avarelles. I think it might be related to the tea tree/calendula/cica oil combo. I would definitely buy more of these!

I find these work best for open pimples as they draw out excess fluid and pus, helping to reduce the size of the pimple and healing the area allow. It doesn't really help closed pimples or deep cysts, but I still sometimes cover them to avoid touching or picking at the site. On a side note, large patches work well for small wounds anywhere on the body as it is essentially a small hydrocolloid dressing.
