Works but not as well as more expensive ones

Similar to more expensive replacement bulbs I've received in the past. This makes the image a bit darker than it should be. Not the easiest to install. But it works at a cheaper price.

doesn't last. It bulges dangerously.

Easy to apply but dull colour. The brightness should be set to full and still no screen is visible when the room is bright. Faded after 300 hours of use. Updating the review as I took it out and checked it out. The middle part of the glass holding the filament is swollen and blackened. We're lucky it didn't explode in our projector. 324 hours of screen time.

You get what you pay for.

44 hours on the lamp and it has already started flickering and the picture shows lamp failures that started about an hour ago. Has worked with the original lamp for over 3,000 hours without any problems.

Poor product design

Bought this replacement on the 17th October and it didn't last 2 years like the original I bought when I was 15 gets a lot of use but heating and ventilation shouldn't Problem its being ceiling mounted unless I can blame the projector design or a cheap lightbulb. Another Veiwsonic projector I bought from Microcenter in 2015 for $800 has a sharper image, shorter throw distance and no lamp replacement. For 4 years. I just had to stick to it.

It really works! Good for video projector accessories

I was a little apprehensive to buy this lamp as the price was low and there were no reviews. But it looked the same as the other bulbs, so I took a chance. I'm glad I did. I've used it to replace the standard lamp in an Optoma HD141x projector (which died after just 250 hours of use but has just come out of the short 1 year warranty period - boo Optoma!). The company is trying to sell you a one-piece metal case with a lightbulb for around $140. But replacing a real lightbulb inside is really…

Difficult to install but works!

It worked! Half the price of a complete lamp replacement. Taking the projector apart for installation was quite labor intensive, but worth the $50 savings!

Product fits well, easy to install. However, not as bright as my original. even shows dark rounded corners. actually darker than my OEM at over 3000 hours. advertised my model #optoma 316 3400 lumens. it can be close to 2000 lumens and barely usable. very weak weak.
