Thank goodness for those levers. My 2 year old ran away from home because he could unlock and open the front door. This lever now prevents him from getting out. He can lift the top but not the handle. He hasn't seen anyone lower the lever yet, so he hasn't done it yet.

This depends on where you decide to put it. We put it on the bath rails because our 2 year old boy was playing with it. I bought more to try on our doorknobs but the door is serrated so it may not work. All in all a great simple solution. We haven't tried removing them, so I hope it doesn't do any harm.

Great price for 2 locks. We were able to place one right next to the handle on the door, the other had to be placed on top of the glass. Our Anderson French Door is unusual in that you have to raise the handle to lock the locks and lower them to open. So this product was just what we needed as it has levers on either side of the handle. We bought these to keep our grandson around the house and away from the pool.

I bought these hoping that (as other reviewers have mentioned) they could be used to jam the bathroom faucet turning on; My 18 month old loves to keep the water running all the time while he's in the tub and gets a bit bored fighting him about it. Unfortunately, the locks are too short to block the junction. If you are looking to buy for this reason I would look elsewhere.
