I used them to keep the gate from sliding. The gates slid along the walls, though very narrow; who moved the door. Now everything stays in place.

This wall protection is indispensable. I only ordered 1 pack to try them out but quickly ordered 2 more after realizing they protected my walls much better than the ones with the baby gates AND very useful for "leveling".

We had baby gates at the top and bottom of a long flight of stairs. They had stood motionless for over a year and had brand new paint underneath. A year later no damage. The walls were perfect. And it endured our forty pound preschooler climbing over the gate multiple times a day, every day.

Just what I needed to avoid pressure on the wall. Remember that the round shape is not suitable for use at the bottom of the gate if the instructions on your gate require it to be lowered to the ground. I could still use for the top bars. The bronze matched my goal perfectly. I am happy with my purchase.

These things work great. They really are the best at preventing damage to walls and other surfaces. It took a while for everything to fit perfectly, but that was all my fault. I recommend doing the bottom first and then the top. Definitely worth the money and I definitely recommend them if you don't want to damage your walls.

I have to admit I use my gate more to get the dog than the kids. She is a red mix weighing 90 pounds. Without these things and their incomplete obedience, this gate would be in the ground all along!
