Too short for baby to hold

I wanted to like this set but within a day it was clear they were too difficult for my 10 month old to use. We do BLW and he's been very used to the GOOtensils, but I was hoping to start transitioning him to something a little more similar to silverware and also something that could hold more in the spoon. Unfortunately the handles are so short that it's impossible for me to pass him a pre-loaded spoon - he just grabs the end with food and gets frustrated. Even when I would leave a full…

Pros
  • The Grabease self-feeding utensils make it easier for babies to transition to solid foods, helping them develop important eating skills
Cons
  • Not suitable for use in the oven or on the stove

These are great - my new review

I am very behind on getting my 17 month old to eat with utensils but these have made the transition super easy. My daughter actually likes to use them and they are surprisingly easy for her to grab and hold. She can hold them herself unlike the clunky spoons that are for babies.

Pros
  • Perfect for 11 month olds…he’s able to hold and help feed himself…with help.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for babies who are still developing their motor skills

Sent the wrong color

I ordered purple but received dark blue. They are a small item and not really worth the hassle of a return for me. Cute and fun for the little one but won’t probably be super useful past 18 months or so given how small they are.

Pros
  • ‎0.81 ounces
Cons
  • May not be suitable for babies with certain sensory issues

Great for babies and toddlers!

My daughter received a set as a gift for her 1st birthday. She LOVES using them! Sometimes she needs help with how to hold it, but she seems to figure it out!Great tool for babies/toddlers learning to feed themselves!Oh! And the travel case is perfect to keep a set in the diaper bag for on-the-go!

Pros
  • No nasty chemicals: These toddler fork and spoon sets are made from 100% safe plastic, free from BPA, lead, phthalates and other harmful materials
Cons
  • May not fit into all types of high chairs

Great for kids who grab utensils at the top

I got these for my one year old daughter who was having trouble using other utensils. She would try to use other utensils (we’ve tried all different shapes and sizes) but she kept grabbing them the wrong way. I had seen these before, but I just never thought they were necessary. I am so happy I finally purchased them! Granted, they will probably not work for everyone, but if your child keeps grabbing at utensils the way mine did, these are a game changer. They are the perfect size for her and…

Pros
  • Easy for babies to hold and learn to use spoon or fork
Cons
  • May not be practical for on-the-go feeding

My 2 year old twins love this fork

My twins have been using spoons on their own since they were 5 months old. I needed to introduce a fork and this one is great. They love these forks. I bought 3 more. They are shape and pierce into their food with easy. I love the guard so they can’t put it to far in their mouths.

Pros
  • With a unique, patented design, parents can be confident that the Grabease utensils are a safe and reliable choice for their little ones
Cons
  • May not be practical for parents who have other children who need traditional feeding utensils

Perfect for little uncoordinated hands

I have several sets of these (one for the sitter's, one for diaper bag, and one for home). My 13 month old is getting super independent and likes to feed himself, but he's still lacking the coordination. These are great because they are much easier to grab and navigate to his mouth. I've recommended to several friends. He does great with the spoon if it's a thick texture (like yogurt), but needs help spearing with the fork.we usually spear things, then set it down for him to put in his mouth.

Pros
  • ‎BPA Free
Cons
  • May not be easy to find replacement parts

No Gagging! best in my review

When I first bought these I felt like these were a little over priced considering they’re just plastic (all of the other utensils that I’ve bought for my baby are silicone), but I liked the idea of them being "gag proof”, so I decided to give them a try. Well, after trying out the several different kids of spoons that I bought, this one is definitely the favorite. My 7 month old can easily hold and even use it a little. But the best part is that it actually is gag proof! It make me feel a lot…

Pros
  • Supports self-feeding: The short handles of Grabease utensils are ergonomically designed to suit the natural movement and grip of babies’ hands, encouraging baby-led weaning and giving your wee one a chance to learn on their own schedule
Cons
  • May not be suitable for babies who are allergic to plastic

Easy to use - my new review

Like the wide variety of colors to choose from and they're verveasy for my 20 month old to use. They hold up well as long as you don't drop them in the bottom of the dishwasher. My one complaint is that you can't purchase just forks or just spoons.

Pros
  • The Grabease utensils are affordable, making them accessible to families on a budget
Cons
  • Not recommended for use with disposable plates or bowls

A little pricey for one set.

My daughter enjoys these and it makes eating a lot easier for her than with regular size toddler utensils. Too bad they’re so pricey.

Pros
  • With a variety of fun colors to choose from, babies will love using their Grabease utensils during mealtime
Cons
  • May not be practical for parents who prefer reusable utensils

Easiest way to teach a child to use utensils!

The main part of the utensils never rest on the table. That and along with the short comfortable handles, makes learning to eat with utensils super easy. Comes with a travel case too. I suggest owning 2 sets. 1 for home and 1 for in the diaper bag.

Pros
  • Solid Feeding
Cons
  • May not be useful for left-handed babies

Pros

Cons

Glad I bought these

I’m glad I bought these. My son is 11.5months old. He has never liked being fed by a spoon and hasn’t liked us putting food into his mouth. He wants to be in control. So we were using other baby spoons/forks but he wasn’t really getting the idea. he also has been somewhat resistant to solids since we started offering them at 6 months old. Now that he’s a bit more developed I’ve noticed him more interested in trying to pick things up with the spoon/fork himself. So, all that to say, I figured I’d

Pros
  • The protective barriers on the utensils prevent choking and gagging, reducing the risk of injury
Cons
  • May not be practical for feeding certain types of proteins
