Excellent unit. Works every time!

We have used this in many customer AV installations. It always works and comes with lots of blasters. If you have components in a closet or closet and are using an IR remote control, you can't go wrong with this device. The remote sensor needs to be in an open area with a direct connection to your remote, and an additional 3-wire cable connection may be required (any CAT cable will do), so it's good to know how far away you are from the receiver location the hub and decide if you're ready to…

Great product at a great price - would recommend.

I've been using it for about a week, everything is fine. Extremely easy to set up and still works as expected. A few thoughts: Make sure all cables are securely connected to the control box - make sure you hear a click. Range: Excellent, but will be affected by where you place the receiver. They offer a solid amount of IR blasters, probably more than enough for most settings. Mine works fine with my Sony TV (power on/off) and Onkyo receiver with no issues. I still use my Xfinity remote because…

Easy to install and works very well

I was converting my basement living room into a home theater and one of my goals was to hide a box of cable tv, blu-ray, etc. cables through the wall to protect the continue to use remote controls. I really like the new installation as it is really clean. The hardest part was figuring out where the sensor was on my Blu-Ray/Surround sound system, but once I figured that out it was very easy and the remote repeater worked every time. Installation consisted simply of connecting and plugging in the

Pros

  • Some cons

It took a while to get through so please be patient. But I highly recommend using tape between the IR repeater and the receiver if you're having trouble with a specific device (I had a cable box). Also note that the receiver may have issues with plasma TVs, but by moving it I was able to find a spot to position the sensor where I can still point the remote at the TV without encountering interference. Overall a great product for the price, I was able to extend the IR receiver with standard…

Nice retractable IR repeater

I was used to using Snap AV gear at work (AV integrator) but it was cheaper than our cost of these gear. I have expanded this unit from my media stand to three TVs after purchasing 2 additional IR eyes and expanding them with the BAFX Cat-5 expansion kit. This added about $42 to the cost of the $27 device, but I was able to save half the extra cost by cutting the IR eye cables and extending them over Cat-5 with Dolphin connectors. I prefer a clean look. I only have a Blu-ray player and a Denon…

Works with Harmony Blasters

I have 3 of these at home now and they all work very well although on my last unit one of the emitter leads fell out with minimal friction. I'm using the latest (updated) version for dubbing with my Harmony Ultimate in a dedicated theater, with all the gear in the corner cabinet, just in case I don't feel like fiddling with the Harmony remote during the shift. component settings etc. Also, while playing with the placement/compatibility options, I was pleasantly surprised that the Harmony IR…

A perfect quality product that does what it's supposed to do, and does it well. I installed it to replicate the IR lighting in a new A/V installation in a closet with a TV on top. The devices are located inside on a full pull-out shelf. The sensor cable is long enough to be routed from the top/front through the hole in the back of the cabinet to the TV and repeater on the back of the shelf, even when fully extended. The repeater cables are approximately 6 feet long. The sofa in the rectangular…
