This was a very easy install (less than 10 minutes) for a not so experienced girl like me. My star downgrading and the complaint why they put an extension right in the middle?! I have standard size windows, and logically they should be on the side, so they are covered with a curtain, not a dead center. I think it looks cheap and am now looking for a replacement.

4 stars because: 1. The metal for the whole bar is nice and strong, and the screws on the brackets hold the bar in place.2. Please don't make the same mistake I did by removing the entire plastic cap from the end and then screwing the ball back on. The metal rod slipped and cut my thumb. The pole is nice and strong but I had to spend 30-45 minutes drilling a hole in a small plastic bracket where you have to screw one of the rolled ends! I almost returned the product but I was with my mother who I bought this product for. My mom really needed the curtains so I managed to burn a hole through them (my drill bit was too small to make a big enough hole). I had to take photos. Once fitted, the curtain rod looks neat and seems to be doing its job well. Unfortunately, I had a few small doubts about the packaging and the design. My first problem arose with the unboxing experience. The inner wand is packaged in a plastic sleeve that cannot be completely removed. Eventually you do it in about thirty swirling, static bits.
