Does exactly what I wanted

Does exactly what I wanted - provides a quick plug for my laptop so I don't have to reach under my desk every time I need to unplug must pull. The USB charging ports are a bonus.

This is a quality power outlet that mounts to the edge of your desk and provides AC and USB power without having to plug and unplug cables from the floor below. The device consists of a thick steel base with a screw clamp that pivots to hold the device securely in place. While it has a somewhat "industrial" look, the appearance is reduced when in place and the slotted top doubles well as a tablet or phone holder. Love it! - Power supplies and surge protectors

Great. My husband pinned it to the back of our table. Perfect for charging your phone and connecting your laptop when you need it without moving it. Very durable and well made.

I never thought a socket could be so bad.

Pin connectors are so tight that it takes a lot of force to insert the connector. The clip isn't very grippy so after a few insertions you'll be pushing the thing away from what it's attached to unless you screw it really tight and damage the furniture. Also, the depth of the clip area is much greater than it appears in the product renderer, so there really isn't anything that can be clipped by a small margin. We end up using them as free surge protectors after they slipped through for the Nth…

This is a good option to increase the number of outlets on your desktop. This gives me quick access to everything I need to load or charge.
