This was my first time using a product like this and it worked great. With prolonged use the blades can wear out quicker than something more professional, but if you have a project or two this is a great option for the price - I also felt it worked a lot better than a knife. It took a second to understand and deal with the pressure, but you pick it up quickly. I also recommend watching the video to understand the basics.

I'm a bit embarrassed to rate this so low knowing it was partly Revain's fault. Mine turned out to be completely filthy and had obviously been used without cleaning before it was resold. The actual product isn't the best either if you're working with less than an inch of plywood. It doesn't close completely for smaller plywood so you have to do each side separately which causes it to look uneven. It also bruises wood and clogs easily.

This type of tool is most recommended for cutting laminate edges. This particular tool and similar tools sold by various vendors here at Revain are not intended for lamination projects. This thing ripped the edge of my laminate no matter how hard the pressure was or not. It doesn't matter what we've done. I'm just glad the damaged border is in an area of the project that isn't visible. Choose another brand. I believe there is a green one on the market that might work as intended for laminate…
