The switch stays on in either position. The only time it is in the open position is when the switch is turned off with some force by pushing it toward the "on" position.

Maybe I screwed up, maybe I didn't. I tried soldering some leads to it but when I did it didn't show continuity in any position. Solder joints were big enough, but who knows

Can't tell if the back cover was sealed. I sealed it anyway. Used this for an RV light that has always been wet inside and out. It fits in a standard RV exterior light with quick drilling to install the stem. Works well

The switch works as expected. But attaching the cover is problematic. It's too short for the derailleur itself and the magazine when I bolted it on. Bad design. Recommended for embroidery only. Not waterproof or resistant.

I used this switch to add a power switch to my Maddog BOSS speakers. I didn't like that they turned on and off with the ignition. Anyway, this works exactly how I need it. Survived several downpours including one from Dorian. And it still works without any problems.

This is just what I needed to turn on and off the electric fuel pump I added to make filling and starting an old car that has been sitting for a long time easier. I installed it just below the dash within easy reach, and the black "weatherproof" case helps hide it so it's not too noticeable. Pleasant to touch. Seems well done.

DO NOT use this on a car tumbler fan for anything important to you. The switch died on the car at the worst possible moment about a month later, causing my car to overheat on the track. I ended up bypassing the switch and leaving the fans on constantly to keep my car cool and allow me to spend the weekend at the track. 100% not recommended

Original review: Great switch. When I looked at the picture, I thought I'm buying cheap clothes. Not correct. This is a high quality switch. Good promotion. The boot is absolutely waterproof and very flexible. Updated 2/11/2018: After 7 months this switch still works great. About a month ago I thought the switch was faulty, but when I went to replace it today I found that the problem was with my plug, not the switch.

I need to be able to turn my snowthrower working lights on and off. Since it is used in a high humidity environment, it must have at least one protective cover. This switch makes a nice crisp "click" when shifting. The boot tightened just above the lock, isolating it from the elements. The protrusions on the bottom are perfect for watertight spade connectors (didn't want to use a "screw type"). So far everything is fine with only 3 on/off.
