First Thoughts on the Barbarians Tactical Drinking Kit

I received the Barbarians Tactical Drinking Kit yesterday. My initial thoughts on the package are good. The storage space is plentiful and enough for a day trip. The only initial downsides I see is the bubble. Although it did not leak during the leak test, you cannot disconnect the hydrator from the hose separately, otherwise the water will leak out of the reed. Blades and hose must be removed together. With most good cylinders, the cylinder can be removed without the hose connected. If I have…

Very heavy loss of bladder

Really well made backpack. Feels good, love the pockets and the ability to attach Mollie. The only problem is a leaky bladder. I mean bad. Pour water into it, unscrew the lid, water will flow out strongly from under the lid. Tried three times, leaked every time. Since the main purpose is to hold water, I'm disappointed. I will buy a better bladder and it will be fine. Update my rating. Went hiking today. Filled my hydration bladder at home and it was still leaking but I found that when I only…

Bladder issues and backpack straps

The first time I used it my bladder leaked under the screw on top and my whole Gatorade spilled onto my couch. At first I thought I screwed it on incorrectly, but after refilling I saw that the leak was coming from under the sealed area where the cap was screwed on. There is no way to fix this. Very disappointing as I was planning to use it on a hot summer day in June in Texas. As for the backpack, it seems to be well designed. The storage was fine for a short hike, but I quickly found that the

UPDATE: Basic backpack with Basic bladder system. 0/5 Stars

DO NOT BUY THIS PACKAGING. My original review is below. After my 3 week trip this backpack has become a joke. 2 zippers broke completely with daily use of this backpack. The garbage buckle broke in the first week of my trip. I have traveled with many backpacks and not once has the buckle broken. My current 50L overnight backpack is 12 years old and all the plastic buckles are intact. In addition, the camel-back nipple that prevents water leakage is becoming weaker and, unsurprisingly, causing…

That looks great. although appearances can be deceiving

The first thing that struck me about this bag is that there is no hook to attach the hydration bladder inside the bag so it always stays upright once placed in the bag. This leaves the hydration bladder started curling up as I drank water and the bulging and weight of the water leaked the joint where the hose connects to the bladder and the water started dripping the faster I walked or when free climbing, the faster would leave the water. The first time this happened I thought I had routed the…
