Basense Monitor 10.1 Inch, 1280X800 Portable Display, 60Hz Refresh Rate, Raspberry Pi Compatible Review

I bought this to replace a 10 inch tablet that I had wall mounted next to my main door. I used the Ring app on my tablet to track my access points to my home. Since the tablet was always on (when connected to a USB power cable), the tablet was dead within a few months. This compact monitor with Android TV box is perfect for my use case. NOTE: The VESA mounting holes are M3. I found out ordering a multiple size screw I used a 75mm VESA mount and M3*16 screws but used M4 washers.

I really wanted to like this monitor. The device I received has a crisp, colorful IPS panel that looks great, and despite the light weight, the overall build quality was good. Unfortunately, I found that the bottom millimeter of the display was covered by a bezel, which was quite noticeable on the desktop taskbar. I needed a monitor for my security cameras that didn't take up much space and the Basese monitor did the job. Lots of different input jack options, great screen quality and easy to use (and accessible) buttons. Highly recommended!

As mentioned in another pre-purchase review, the plastic around the display slightly obscures the monitor. I bought this for a project where I already took the display out of the case, but when setting up my Raspberry Pi I had the option to shrink the display to accommodate monitors that have this issue . TLDR, if you use it for the Raspberry Pi display, it works great.
