Description of Bassett Carbide Uncoated Degrees Diameter Power & Hand Tools in Power Tool Parts & Accessories

Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholding systems. Uncoated tools feature just the base substrate without any additional treatment or coatings and are suitable for a wide range of applications. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of toolholding systems. When run in a counterclockwise direction (right-hand cut) spiral fluted tools evacuate chips up and out of the cut to reduce clogging. Applicable for steel, cast iron, nonferrous material. Made in the USA.

Excellent 4 Tooth Center Drill, Countersink, Chamfering Tool

This countersink tool is the smallest top edge of the countersink with through hole is too big. It has four grooves (at each end); two of them are short and the other two meet in the middle so they drill flat and also chamfer the corner. Not to mention that both ends are the same, so you get two for the price.

Pros
  • Solid carbide tools offer longer tool life and higher cutting speeds than other substrates but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholder systems
Cons
  • Negative impression

It has four grooves (at each end); two of them are short and the other two meet in the middle so they drill flat and also chamfer the corner. Not to mention both ends are the same, so you get two for the price.
