No quality control see photo

Metal pins are inserted into the connector and held on the pin by a raised flat tip which snaps onto a spring steel plate. Poorly made cleats come in a variety of sizes and one of the cleats was smooth so it wouldn't break or stay in place. Very disappointing and not worth returning. How much does it cost to test them before shipping?

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Minor issues

Winter blues with outdoor accessories

After three winters in the car I tried to use my winch and had a power problem. After unplugging the connectors I found that the plus connection in the connectors was completely corroded and after pulling the entire wiring harness closer I found that one of the housings was cracked. These connectors have been connected since installation and only come loose once before being serviced by the winch, so they don't get much use.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

Too small for 2 AWG, NOT suitable for Warn connectors

Used to install a used Warn XD9000i. My used winch was mounted to a receiver hitch post with a quick coupler. I'm not surprised it doesn't fit the Warn quick connector, but I was hoping it would. Also, the terminals are too small for 2 gauge (2 AWG) wire. fit. See image. For <$16 it's hard to complain, it will do the job as intended but you get what you paid for.

Works, how about a guide?

This Anderson connector is manufactured and sold under different names so the original patent has expired. In any case, these connectors are solid, but no instructions came with them. This allowed an idiot like me to try to hook the edge of the metal pin to the case instead of flipping it over so it properly hooks into the metal clip holding it in place. I found out thanks to Youtube. Also, since there were no instructions, I didn't know the best way to crimp or solder the wire, or the…

Product works well but needs modification

Product works well but needs modification. Many reviews say the product doesn't work - well, that needs an explanation. First, it's a brazed stud. That means you'll need a flashlight and solder wire. The pin must be removed for soldering. Second, they don't make strong contact right away. The pins will need to be bent/modified slightly to make contact. I used a vise and a hammer to do this - there aren't that many of those. Once they were in place I used a piece of spacer to press down on the…

Great product Read review for instructions

UNPAID UNBEATABLE REVIEW Unlike other reviewers who got the product for free or with a discount and whose review may be biased, I have nothing to support my honest review received which is as follows. I used this to make 2 gauge quick release cable for my winch. They come 2 per box and the price was the best I've found. After crimping my 2 gauge cable onto the provided lugs, simply snap the lugs into the included red quick connect box (they give you 4 tips and 2 red boxes). The red plugs fit…

One of the best things you can buy for your car

One of the best things you can buy for your car. I've used this with patch cords more times than I can count! I initially had some trouble crimping these connectors, but they were solved with a couple of bolt cutters and enough pressure. It is highly recommended to solder the connections. , but not required; I used the first set for over two years before traded in my Silverado and bought a Trailblazer which will also get a set. try to remove them; it just made me wish I had bought another set…

These plugs are great. I use blocks to connect my lover.

Outstanding candles. I use blocks to connect my ham radio to my car battery. I have a 500 watt amp that draws a lot of power. I soldered the connectors to a #4 AWG welding wire that I also purchased from Revain. The best way to attach connectors is by soldering with a propane torch. I put flux on the wire and flux in the terminals. The ears were held upright with a vise. I heated the tips on the outside and melted about 1/4 inch of solder on the bottom. Holding the torch by the tip, I inserted…

PERFECT AND GREAT PRICE AND QUALITY

This is the second set I've bought and I think it's a great deal on a pair of heavy duty Anderson 350 amp plugs! I was always nervous when helping someone who was stuck and had to jump. Why? Because sparks + hydrogen sulfide gases = explosion! To minimize this possibility and eliminate the possibility of the battery connector cables shorting out during the initial connection process, I chose to install one of the Anderson connectors on the battery cables and attach the other connector to the…
