I had a luau for my daughter's birthday and covered the basement floor to give the impression of sand. It looked GREAT. The kids loved it (5-7 years old) and even the teenagers said it was really cool. In the pictures it looked like sand!

The product we received was as described. The problem was that when we opened the package to put it in our just delivered 4H stand, it got cut at some point. So, unfortunately, on each foot is a piece of the whole background. And I didn't have time to turn back, I had to seal all the cracks with duct tape. I would recommend just making sure you open the package to make sure everything is in order. Since we don't have time to return it for a new one, I was very disappointed.

For the price I assumed it would be the typical thickness of a vinyl backdrop. In fact, it's akin to a dollar store tablecloth. You know the ones that snap when you try to set them up? Forget using this as the background for the floor. where the sand actually is. Any movement on it will tear it apart. The fold lines are cut into the cheap flimsy vinyl so they can't be pulled out. No matter what you use it for, you will see fold lines. I really don't see any use other than being taped to a wall.
