excellent product. Just keep in mind that you may have to bend the rope a bit to fit your rope. The ends of the metal base are quite sharp, so you have to be very careful not to scratch the rope when pulling it through the bushes.

This brush works very well. I used a large tub and a sterling rope wash. Leave it in water for 30-45 minutes at the beginning and rinse off. Repeat with the detergent and then thread the rope through the brush. Repeat the process again with clean water and run it through the brush. Well cleaned the dirty rope

This is a rope brush and yes it does require some strength and work depending on the thickness of the rope. But cleans well what I wanted. It has sharp edges on both sides, probably due to the cutting process, so use a file before touching it. The only downside I see. But only 5 stars for the idea.

I have used this twice on dry treated rope before. The first time I held the brush under water in the sink and slacked off the rope once. Picked up most of the dirt. The second time I held it in the shower and squeezed it in my hand to get as much water as possible into the brush. This time when I got to the visible dirty spot I rotated the brush so it cleaned much better.

I have used this brush with mild soap (unscented dishwashing liquid) in the bath to clean my dirty old Sterling 9.4 and the results have been better than I could ever have hoped for. Once I tried washing the rope without a brush and it almost didn't matter. With the brush the bath water was pitch black at the end and my rope looks. well, not like new anymore, but you can tell that it's light green again. 5/5 recommend.
