To reduce the noise I bought the 24V version and ran it at 12V. I have tested several other voltages and they start reliably even at 4V. At 12V they are a bit noisier and move a bit less air than the Prusa i3 Mk2s stock 5015 fan. As advertised, they have "double ball bearings". The packaging lists both sleeve and ball bearings, and each fan's label does not list the bearing type, but disassembly confirms two ball bearings.

Those suckers blow! lots of air I've seen other reviews where people have used 90 percent of these on their 3D printers. I agree. I needed a replacement fan for my CreatBot 450 PEEK 3D printer. The fan factory manufacturer is SUNON, the part number is GB1205PHV1-8AY. After an extensive web search of reputable electronic retailers; Digikey, Mouser, Allies, . Part appears to be "discontinued model". I have a video of two of these fans running at 20% of maximum speed on my 3D printer. At low speeds they just make a different annoying noise than at full speed. This is by far the noisiest fan in the room at any speed. And I have rack servers running about 20 feet from me that are very quiet by comparison. I didn't expect these fans to be silent. Leave the rating as low as possible. I ordered a pair of 24V 5015 fans for my 3D printer and received an outer box that matches the product description and pictures, but the actual fan is inside of another brand and looks REALLY cheap and crappy. This product was either counterfeit or worse, misleadingly advertised. Haven't tried the fans yet and to be honest maybe not even for the quality just to go back and contact Revain support about the seller's approach.

Although these little fans match my small humidifier, they are much noisier than the original. They are REALLY noisy in the bedroom. I can't attest to how well they hold up because I only had the humidifier on during the day and off at night so I could sleep. Before next winter I will look for different fans.

I bought this to try on a 3D printer. Both fans worked right away, so I tested them with a DC power supply. One engine vibrated, refused to start and would not turn over even when manually started. The other motor spins slowly at low voltage, but any voltage above 9 VDC will cause the motor to shut down. Both fans have something wrong with the internal drive circuitry. Returned these and bought working ones with many reviews.
