Good fit, cheaper quality than OEM

Replaced a factory thermostat that stayed open on my 1992 LS400. The quality is obviously not as good as the original, but I was happy with the price.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Available in white only

The gasket fits, you need a sealant.

Gasket REALLY TIGHT! The supplied seal fits. It's not thick, but with some sealant it should do for a 2006 TOYOTA SIENNA 3.5.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons

Bad quality, didn't fit.

After installation the engine started to warm up again. The mechanic had to reopen the engine and found that the O-ring did not fit. I had to buy the original again.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Fits my Corolla S 09

Had to replace the gasket after about 2 months of use (would have been 5 stars). I noticed a small leak and traced it to the thermostat housing. Gasket replaced (<$2) and all is well again. would buy more.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Crumpled

Thermostat gasket too small causing leaks

Installed thermostat with included gasket on a 2007 Lexus es350. Coolant leaked out of the thermostat housing due to insufficient gasket width. It drains coolant. I had to go to the auto parts store and buy a different brand.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Fits

never lasted 1 month

Replaced thermostat and thankfully car less than 100km driven due to suspension repair, interior work law. I just let it idle, it didn't overheat, but I noticed my coolant was leaking, then I saw the thermostat was leaking, possibly due to a faulty thermostat. without buying the same.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Easy serviceability

Not as strong as my original which was in my 1990 Toyota Celica GT with 5sfe but after 26 years the original failed in the open position. This is still better processed than those stored in the parts warehouse, does the job perfectly and is a quality part.

Pros
  • Years of probation
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

The sealing ring is not thick enough. Caused a big leak!

The o-ring around the thermostatic flange was not thick enough to seal my 2006 Toyota Camry! It sat flush with the body so after I reassembled everything and added coolant it leaked like crazy! I had to use an o-ring from my old thermostat and it worked fine.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Repair
