Terrible Head Gasket Set for Performance Cars

According to my experience, this gasket set was a complete waste of money. The seals were flimsy and prone to breaking, causing oil leaks and overheating. The instructions were also unclear, making the installation process frustrating and time-consuming.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Flimsy seals, unclear instructions

Don't buy this. Worst head gasket set I've ever seen!

The worst kit I have ever bought for a Toyota Prius, professionally I have made a lot of head gaskets and this kit deserves my time for a bad review. O-rings are not seated properly, EGR pressure pipe is missing, injector seals are loose because the seal is not seated properly. Do not buy this kit from Mahle, the manufacturer.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Reliability

Perfect conversion kit for my 2010 Toyota Prius 1 1

Perfect conversion kit for my 2010 Toyota Prius 1.8 liter petrol engine. It has a lot of extra spacers, some I couldn't even find where to put them. Head gasket replacement appears to be mandatory on 2010 and 2011 Prius. The total time commitment was at least 16 hours over two weekends. Runs great now, no misfires on start and mpg seems better so far. In the photo is an old bad gasket and in another photo after cleaning the valve assembly. The picture shows the new valve seals.

  • Certified
