I've tried many different spool holders. In general, I don't want the weight of the filament spool to touch the printer so the weight doesn't wobble, so I chose this type of filament spool holder. This design is good, the width of the rollers can be adjusted in a wide range of travel. Bought this to upgrade my child's 3D printer. The one that came with it had an oddly shaped hole that made it impossible to work with the 3D printed spool holder part that we like to use. So instead of trying to gouge the hole with a biter, I did the smart thing and bought a working tool. There really isn't much more to say about it, it's metal (probably light steel), it has a hole for a spool holder and a couple of holes for attaching to a 2020 profile.
