Parity error is good for network cards

I got this card to move my tower from the media room (where me and my roommates have our gaming systems) to my bedroom. I followed the installation instructions to the last letter and opened the case AFTER installing the Belkin Wireless Utility. for no reason I can see even if it is less than 5ft from the router. Also, the machine gives me a unique blue screen of death that I have never seen in over 10 years of networking. It gives me a parity error and the system hangs with a blue screen and…

The card was faulty, but the real problem was Belkin. Stay away!

I got a wireless card for my PC and installed it with little effort. It only worked "OK" for 8 months or so. During that time I had to contact Belkin Technical Support about 4 times. They were nice, maybe a little condescending. The thing is I don't have a second job servicing my computer and I expect support to keep me going without making me feel like a fool. But these are minor annoyances at best. However, after about 8 months, my computer suddenly froze and I couldn't connect to my network,

This card sucks. suitable for computer components

Worked fine for about a month and started dropping the connection constantly. Sometimes it would crash so many times that the program would say "Internet connection is fine" but my page wouldn't refresh. It is then disconnected and reconnected. I guess it didn't believe itself in the end. I updated the drivers, nothing helped. I won't even contact their tech support as they just tell me to use the latest driver and restart my computer. The reviewer said these cards were defective, but as far as

I returned this item for a refund.

After ordering a Belkin wireless network card, our AT&T 2-wire router failed. I called At&T to get another unit. They brought me their U-Visa router to which 4 instead of 2 computers can be connected. So I didn't need a network card.

You are joking!

Bought this wifi card for a kids computer. He adjusted perfectly and worked for a whole year with small problems. Now it only connects to unsecured networks! What has changed? Nothing! One day it stopped working and no matter what I do it won't connect to our WEP network. The funny thing is I have a Belkin Pre-N router (which hasn't changed). I figured calling Belkin Tech Support would help. I wonder if they even train their tech support staff (I had to explain DHCP to them and they still…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
