Didn't work with any of my phones :-/

- *Does not work* with Samsung A51- *Does not work* with Moto z3- *Does not work* with Pixel 1According to web search It looks like if these phones just don't support HDMI output so I gave it 4 stars anyway as it doesn't seem to be the device's fault. Disappointing however.

Forget everyone else if you have a Macbook Pro 13 " or similar

This is the only unbranded adapter from Apple that works at 4K 60Hz. All others are somehow not recognized. I got mine though appears to have been used or pre-opened but since it works I just close it and leave it in. Remember you can get a used item for that price, $25?get up and forget it.

  • Finally bought it

Check Hz - Computer Accessories & Peripherals

We upgraded our iMacs to 2019 models and no longer had an HDMI port for a second monitor. We ordered a (much) cheaper adapter here and it didn't work. We spoke to Apple for 90 minutes and then ordered. Turns out we didn't check the Hz on the monitor. It was 60 Hz, which is what this adapter is designed for. Less expensive adapters are designed for 30 Hz. It's perfect, it worked right away.

Fits my office laptop and iPad Pro

At home, I use my office laptop to connect to a dual monitor. I didn't want to use the dock as the dock I had was constantly disconnecting and reconnecting due to having too many devices attached to it. I had free Thunderbolt/USB-C ports on my laptop and they had the best speed. I bought it to use my dual monitor and it worked flawlessly. I am very happy with the purchase. Now I can even connect it to my iPad Pro which is an added bonus.

Didn't work on HP Envy while Anker adapter worked.

I spent hours getting this adapter to work on an HP Envy 17-ae1xx laptop. My computer did not recognize my new HP M22f monitor. I tried the Anker PowerExpand+ USB-C/HDMI adapter in my USB-C/Thunderbolt port and my laptop immediately recognized the new monitor without having to change any settings or boot. I don't know why Anker worked and this one didn't. They appear to be the same and Belkin is generally a good brand. th

DO NOT buy for 2018 iPad Pro

I bought this for a 2018 iPad Pro and although it technically works (in the sense that I connect 4k TV or monitor can do this and get 4k@60hz), it does NOT support 4k HDR. Belkin sells two USB-C to HDMI adapters with nearly identical model numbers, but one supports 4k HDR with a 2018 iPad Pro and the other doesn't. If you don't care, this will work fine, but the other costs exactly the same and gives you more options. I didn't give this three stars because the product doesn't work asโ€ฆ

Pros

Costs money! fits computer accessories and peripherals

I have a 2017 version of iMac and am having trouble connecting a second monitor. The adapter they sold me at best seems to have been the problem. This adapter worked perfectly once plugged in! Just received today! No flickering or no input signal errors. I know this adapter is more expensive than others, but with the amount of money that's going to be spent on a new computer and my monitor, I don't think $20 or so is too bad to know that the system will work like this as it should. . So far, so good. Use with Apple MacBook 12 "

Use with original Apple MacBook 12" which only had a USB-C port. Therefore, to use an external monitor, through power is required. And it works. I have a 32" 4K monitor from a 12" Macbook. The poor MacBook doesn't have enough power to drive that many pixels, but it works. On Mac, you can play with the text size to make it readable. I can even use clamshell mode (when the Mac stays on with the lid closed while using an external monitor). I'm not sure how safe this is for a poor 12" Macbook (with
