False advertising. Claims it has a battery but doesn't have one. Good thing I don't often drive at night. My compass would be in the dark.

Pros, easy work Cons: 1. Assembly line worked for two days.2. Magnetic adjustment (for magnetic fields in different regions of the world) does not stand still, you have to adjust constantly.

When I received the compass it wasn't calibrated and when I tried to turn on the light the battery was dead. When I wanted to change the battery, the old one exploded. Inside was battery acid. I threw it away! I'm so sick of the junk in the mail!

The first one I bought works great on my old machine. This is on a newer machine with a lot more electronics and was a bit more difficult to set up. The ability to customize settings is a must! The only downside is that it doesn't light up at night as written, maybe I just haven't figured out how to get it to do that, or the battery may need replacing.

The compass is solidly built but try as I can I can't calibrate it and the light doesn't work. First, the batteries are upside down, which may or may not be planned so they don't run out on the shelf. But then the instruction doesn't tell you to flip them.
