Works great, but 2 things.

These are really good discs for removing paint, rust and small scratches. No luck with mill scale, I use a hard wheel for this or buy pickled and oiled steel. One reviewer mentioned the following: Stay away from corners. The wheel will break and throw pieces. The parts move at about Mach 2 and sting a little on impact, and anyone working near you will be pretty upset. Definitely need a full face shield and heavy clothing. Second, the wrench that came with my Dewalt angle grinder does NOT have…

Best performance for the price. Lasts longer, cheaper.

These discs last much longer than those bought at local hardware stores which cost 4-5 times more. I used them to remove the paint from the entire body of the car. One disc was enough for about 6-7 square meters. foot area with a 4 1/2" sander that removed two coats of paint and two coats of primer. It takes about 15-20 minutes to go through the disc, depending on how it's used. If you're on a disc with a very If you hit a sharp edge, it will degrade much faster. On a flat surface it lasts…

Serious steel door paint stain BUT serious quality control issues –

Update 10/14/17 – Downgraded to 2 stars due to lack of quality control. I tried several discs. While the disks themselves work well, one of them must not have stuck consistently and wear out exponentially faster than the others. 3 discs in a pack of 10 had the mounting hub not centered. What a horror and rendered them useless. I threw away 3 new disks because they are not round and vibrate a lot. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong when I had 2 discs in a row that were off

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • No instructions

This is awesome. I have years of experience with metal and have never tried them, assuming they are just a gimmick. NOT CORRECT. I had about 30 feet of really crappy, rusty, cement spattered schedule 40 steel pipe that needed stripping. I was afraid of it. The thing was also covered in that sticky black paint, so the rust plus the durable paint/tarmac sheet is junk. It is more difficult to remove than mill scale. I've done a lot of this type of metal cleaning, flap discs stick together way too…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Minor issues
