Consumes too much power when idle

Idle when nothing is running, this device consumes power. Since there is no on/off switch, this can only be switched off manually. My device, tested with a lab-grade DC power supply set at 12,000V, draws 0.168A or 2.018W. That's quite a large parasitic attraction. It discharges a medium-sized car battery (40 Ah) in about 10 days. Bad design - it should have a sleep mode or at least a power button!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Crumpled

Very small but very functional

Although I have not tested the maximum load of the socket, all ports, including USB, work as advertised. This device is very small, and while I didn't think I'd use a clip, it was handy for traveling. Since most cigarette lighter/power outlets come with a USB adapter anyway, this is a great way to get AC and USB power. We often need to charge electronics that require their own power supply, such as: a DSLR, for example, and it works great. Easily fits on center console when not in use.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No power

Fast charger, has a fan, can be very noisy

Super fast charger. After only 4 weeks of use, the fan started failing shortly after we were able to send it back due to a malfunction. Squeaks, makes loud noises that he hasn't made in four weeks. been making this noise for a few weeks now and still working but disappointed that it didn't last longer. he was not abandoned or abused. he always sits in the same place. I might try again to see if it was just buggy or if they're all made that way. If I buy another one I'll let you know if I have…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Nothing included

Less than 1 year out of service

I bought this inverter to charge and use my laptop during long car trips. It worked fine when I first bought it; However, on my second longer trip, it started to fail. Now when I plug in my laptop it keeps turning on and off charging so it can't be used. Additionally, it also works with charging one of my USB powered devices, turning charging on and off while my laptop is plugged in. I had high expectations of this device when I bought it and am very disappointed in the quality. .

Pros
  • Many positive emotions
Cons
  • fade away

Works too hard and produces little power

Works for me to charge a 1.5Ah 18V battery for a power tool. It's a slow charger, so it takes a few hours to fully charge the charger. The charger draws only about 5W. Within about ten minutes the inverter fan was ramping up significantly and was running at full load the whole time - I can see through my solar system it's being powered by the inverter drawing less than 1 amp. It seems awfully hard to work because it uses so little energy. I hate seeing what happens when I draw 100 watts…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable
