Wow, I didn't know my old toenail clippers were so dull because of my thick toenails that I have on each foot. You have to be a bit more careful when using them, but I found it so easy to clip off that one toenail that is so thick. I just love them so I'm glad I chose red. Also, it came in a very nice box.

Excellent hair clipper. They are very sharp and cut deeper than expected. Someone on this page gave advice that I recommend: start with tweezers, don't try to do the entire cut until you're more experienced.

The last tool you buy is the most expensive because you spent money on many cheaper versions that just didn't work properly. Get to work, eliminate the frustrations, and get yourself some decent, quality nail clippers first. Unlike many cheap clippers, this one cuts straight instead of in a curve, which can lead to ingrown nails. (Oops!) It comes in a matching metal box with a molded plastic cap and comfortable rubber grips on the handle. It's a darn good addition to your personal hygiene kit.

This hair clipper is very well made and durable. Even heavy nails are easily trimmed. My only caveat is that they are also very sharp so you have to be careful when using them. I managed to cut off a piece of skin next to a toenail that was bleeding like crazy. It was my fault for not paying more attention.

Unbelievable. Really sharp - they can actually amputate a toe. Also used on my mother whose toes have been a problem for 85 years. She thought I was a miracle worker. Bought this along with a professional mac straight and curved end ingrown toenail file and a 6 inch double ended ingrown toenail cleaner. RN has worked with nails all his life. Works well. You have to make small cuts on your toenails and the pliers are sharp. But with these pliers, getting into the tight corners of an ingrown nail is much easier than with regular ones. Now I can be my own podiatrist (almost anyway).

Yes, they cut very well and accurately. As mentioned in other reviews, clippers are very sharp and pointy. If your hand is steady, they are good for trimming and removing an ingrown toenail. I filed the sharp ends just in case, and it didn't seem to affect the clipper's performance. Without the sharp corners I would have given five stars.
