The tip cuts the thread easily, which is why we bought it. The previous one did not cut off the top. You hate it when you go cutting and the thread slips between the blades.

I wish these scissors didn't have a burr tip. You would be perfect. I'll keep it as it is. They have the least grip on the fabric when I'm cutting. I don't know how to fix this, but there must be a way. They are cute too.

I am very disappointed in them. I was going to wait and write a review until I had used them for a while and it turned out to be a smart move as they definitely didn't meet my expectations or basic needs.
