Shock absorbers, struts and suspension make the ride smoother

Installed on my 07 5.4L f-150 and I no longer have wheel hop and it runs smooth. My old shocks were original with 166,000 miles so the new ones really help with acceleration and braking. Very easy to install, I made one and my wife made another.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Don't buy this. best on shocks, struts and suspension

For a hundred dollars a piece I at least expected my shocks to be compressed when shipped. But no, and the boxes were open. Uncompressed by these small, inexpensive plastic straps that make installation a lot easier. Thanks for doing a 15 minute job in an hour.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Blown by the wind.

24" overall length, 15" folded length, I had to use a ratchet strap to fold it 4" to fit my 2006 f150. It annoys me a little that I'm down to 4". had to give up travel. from 9" of travel up to 5" of travel. I'm no mechanic but for that damping power I'm paying and losing. 4" Gone with the Wind.

Works great on F150 Towing

Slow changing rear shocks on my stock height 08 F150 to 285s 20s which I mainly use for towing boats. Switched from Stock XLT Tow Package shocks to SkyJacker Hydra 7000 (makes a difference in price but not for long). Now finally said, it's time for the Bilstein 5100 and no need to tinker with it again. Overall a solid ride, not hitting hard like I expected. Highways and bumps are good, I always check how my dampers are working by testing them on bumpy roads and different speed bumps. Everything

Cons
  • High price

Great hits, fast installation! (Price is for ONE shock)

Bought a pair of these shocks and installed them on my F-150 2006 2wd today. They are very durable and provide a smooth ride. Note that this is for ONE shock, so you will need to purchase two of these for the kit. Also, they are uncompressed and have a plastic band around them so you need to compress them. something that can be used as a crowbar. The shock absorbers are mounted with 2 screws 15mm with nuts 18mm. I would recommend putting the bottom of the shock in first and moving the bolt…

  • Heavy Duty Construction

Huge improvement over a 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew RWD

I bought this Bilstein 5100 for my 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew RWD. The original shocks and struts were 150,000 miles long. rear in 15 minutes with a Bilstein 5100, and in the rear a big difference was noticeable when overcoming deep drops and bumps in the road at high speeds. No more bouncing like a ball or trampoline effect. I also replaced the front shock absorber and strut assembly on both sides with high performance Ford Motorcraft preloaded shock absorbers. Oh my god now a brand new…

  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
