🐾 Bissell 16131 Pet Boost Oxy Formula for Carpet Cleaning Review

I moved into a house where the smell of cat pee was coming from the upstairs toilet. I had the carpets professionally cleaned and after a few days I could still smell it. I have used this pre-treatment with the matching manual carpet shampoo formula and it is FINALLY gone (and still is over 2 months after one treatment).

Really removes a lot of weird pet stains from carpets which is great. I use this in a little green spot cleaner. It removes urine stains (not UV tested), vomit and even baking soda stains on our light gray carpet. This works best when the stain is fresh, and I'm not sure how it will work if you have an old stain you want to get rid of.

I had the opportunity to try this on a combo purchase and ended up buying it again. I added it to another Bissell pet product. I've found that my carpets get cleaner when I use both, not just one. I was worried it was just an odor and not a substance, but I was wrong. I highly recommend it for use on toxic pet urine!

Not sure if it's machine or formula related but adding this to my Bissell cleaner will anyway all my pet stains removed. All urine stains are completely removed. All stains on carpets are completely gone. Discolouration from previous cleaning products has disappeared.

I use this boost in my vacuum and have had no problems in the 2 years I have been using it. It really helped make my white carpet clean and bright. In addition to two Salukis, I also have adopted dogs, so there are always at least three large dogs in my house. I couldn't keep the carpets clean without her. It also has a pleasant smell.

I recently had a problem with my 10 year old dog who had an accident. I bought a steam cleaner and use it to give it "power". I use a steam cleaner to collect urine and then clean it. After cleaning with this product I didn't have a single stain or odor. I had an odor without it. I am very satisfied and as long as accidents happen to my dog I will continue to buy this product. 4 stars!

I used this in my Spot-Bot with regular cleaner in a high traffic area (big leg movements and cat accidents) and didn't notice much of a difference at first compared to no boost, but later when I returned to the spot, it was significantly lighter than the carpet around it which made me appalled at how dirty the carpet in that area was!
