Five stars and two thumbs up! Of course, I'm glad I found this direct replacement for the roller brush. The bearings on my old one got so hot they melted the ends. This replacement was perfect. The motor is no longer stressed and does its job perfectly. You don't have to buy a new vacuum cleaner. Hooray!

Not only was this part a good $20 cheaper than the manufacturer's replacement, but it appears to be made of much thicker, heavier, and better quality plastic than the original roller (which incidentally cut two when the tassel of carpet entangled around it). We will definitely use this supplier again if we need more vacuum parts in the future.

My Bissell vacuum is 25 years old. I regularly service the filters/tape etc. but never the brush. This brush is great. I also put on a new belt and WOW. It was hard to push the vacuum cleaner, but now you have to hold it back if it wants to take off. Sucked the usual spots and WOW again. That's better than a new vacuum cleaner. Now my vacuum cleaner keeps me alive. lol!

The item itself fits the 1797 with Powerforce Helix Turbo Winder. But after installation it didn't spin and also melted the belt so I bought a new belt and thought about it. it was, but then after I pulled it out. It's missing the ec-292 end cap which caused the brush to spin, cutting the inside and burning the other strap. Check them before you turn them on so this doesn't happen to other people.

I hate this product. This is a poor brush replacement. The brushes are tiny and I doubt they pick up any dirt or debris at all. Didn't even try to install and went straight to the return and review option here at Revain. For a few dollars more at your local vacuum repair distributor there is most likely a replacement that you can visually see and touch which is what you want to buy. The original roller brush in my Bissell vacuum finally stuck after years of use and the end cap on the brush melted. It was toast!
