3000 pieces should fit. As seen next to the one I bought years ago and on my foot. it is definitely NOT the right size. I'm so sad. I expected the right size for the price I paid for it. And I can't seem to put my puzzle in. Looks like someone cut it out and sent me half. I will never order from them again!

It's a waste of money, me and my grandma opened it up because we were trying to put a puzzle together and found it was just one big piece of felt. I mean, it really works, but the fact that we paid $20 for a glorified piece of felt that I could get at Joanne's fabric store, Michael's, or any craft store! Don't waste your hard-earned money on this glorified piece of felt!

I've always collected puzzles, but there was a problem. DOG! I ran out of pieces and sure enough the dog ate them. With this folding mat you can store the puzzle and it will not be damaged. Durability isn't the best unless you make sure the mat is rolled up tight and you have the right roll. 100% worth owning. costs money.

If the tube had end caps so I could tuck loose parts on the sides of the tube I would get five stars.
