What a coincidence, a week after the warranty expired, the brightness of the lamp began to dim. As I sell AV equipment, I compared their performance to other projectors and calculated that after 6.5 months their output is around 2300 lumens, which is almost half of the original rating.

Well, the native lamp, which was supposed to work more than 2000 hours, died after 650. Then I put a standard lamp, and it died in less than 400 hours. This is the cheapest of them all and it works flawlessly. If none of the bulbs live up to the advertised lifespan, why pay more for the same thing?

Absolutely agree with this rating! The most I spent on a lamp was $150, honestly it worked as advertised. I'm a student and $150 covers 3/4 of the required textbook. In the last two years I've spent $558.18 replacing lightbulbs of all prices. As Dave said, "Why pay more for the same?". $558.18 could be spent for 3 credit hours. Good review Dave!
