Get these pliers from BLACK+DECKER for use in the workshop. I wasn't sure what to expect from them even though I had bought many Black and Decker items. They have a locking jaw with a strong hinge so they don't come out once adjusted. They also have tough teeth that really bite the item you use them on. I've used several cheaper pliers that have either broken, chipped, or worse, failed to grip the screw you were holding on to. I don't have that problem with them at all. I could list the…

Tool box or bag. I loved how well made they are for such a great price. Black + Decker is a well known tool brand and they have a jaw nut grip angle design that makes them so comfortable. They adjust for a wide or flat grip and are easy to move. Non-slip vinyl has a comfortable texture and is great for squeezing things together. 8" pliers can get into hard-to-reach places, while 12" pliers cause serious pinching. They are put in my tool bag for use on the go. Pictures tell a story. I recommend…

Simple but strong pliers

These are very good, inexpensive but durable pliers for those who collect tools in the garage or at home. This set includes a compact 8" pliers and a larger but stronger 12" pliers. Each has a nice rubberized grip and a premium feel that's unusual for tools in this price range. These aren't professional tools, but for home use, they're more than good enough for most basic plumbing jobs. in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. Also strong enough for light to medium mechanical work in the household. I've…

Acceptable if you need them

I know some people just love these "channel lock" pliers but I've always put them at the bottom of my "most used" list. Of course, as with any tool, there are situations that just call for it, but after 40 years of farming I've found them very rarely. The biggest (and huge) problem with them is the danger they pose when removing a large workpiece. The grips connect, grab and crush whatever is between them, be it fingers or skin. The large pair here does it just like any other I've ever used…

Definitely worthy of the Black and Decker brand

Utility tangs are indispensable for DIY work around the house and in the workshop. I have a huge 16" pair that I use for plumbing and pool renovation projects. My only other pair is the 8" and it recently fell apart. So I'm really excited to be able to add these two instruments to my collection. This is a Black and Decker brand so my expectations were a bit high. The pliers definitely have doesn't disappoint. The forged steel construction is immaculate and feels fairly solid despite being…
