BLACK+DECKER VF100 Replacement Filter for Cyclonic Action DustBusters - White: Enhanced DustBuster Performance Review

My Black & Decker Dust Buster 9.6 volt handheld vacuum cleaner model is several years old and apparently no longer available. When I ran out of filters I took a chance and ordered this non-Black and Decker generic filter and it works great. In contrast to the original filter, this one is made of hard plastic and is not flexible. Otherwise it is exactly the same as the original filter. Just make sure it fits your vacuum cleaner model.

You will only receive the right filter, not the holding case shown on the left. So now I have a filter I can't use and had to order another one. Also remember that this does NOT replace the installation of a filter in ANY dust collector in the CHV line. I have no idea what this part actually is, but it doesn't apply to any of the vacuums marked "CHV" in the model designation as the body used to create the seal is not included and hence will not be compatible with what you already have.

We have 2 old vacuum cleaners (both at least 10 years old) so I have no idea what models they are (and if they even make them!) and I had no idea what filters I got clean should change! I was using one about a month ago when I emptied it and decided to undo the area the filter is in - oh my! Dust has accumulated over 10 years. Be careful when you buy this. They work, we have enough, but the blocks sent to me do not have teeth on the edge as in the picture. Instead, it's just a flat surface. This means you cannot use the Black and Decker vacuum's spin function, which is designed to rotate the filter, if an area of the filter is clogged. I wish I had read some of the other reviews and realized that this product does NOT come with the pre-filter shown in the picture. Instead, it only contains a paper filter. It's not a problem per se, but it's definitely nice to know what you're buying! Haven't really tried the filter yet as I'm waiting to see if I can easily get it back.
