You get what you pay for.

I use them on my lighting desk for my cameras. Excellent quality picture. There's a reason many industry professionals use them.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Good quality and price.

Good screen and very good price. The screens there aren't the clearest and sharpest in the world, but they more than serve their purpose at this price point.

They are good and cheap. Not amazing off-axis video. In the past one of them came with a dead pixel. But if you need a dual rackmount monitor with an SDI input (and an SDI loop), they work well. Use them to monitor your AJA KiPro recorder.

Pros
  • Few competitors

Great little SD-SDI or HD-SDI monitor

I've had my eye on the Blackmagic Smartview Duo for a long time and have finally seen some of these in action at another facility. It moved me enough to get three of my own. First, not every screen is HD resolution. Actual resolution is probably much closer to SD, but you won't be tracking critical content on an 8-inch screen. In this case, the video looks great and is generally accurate. The control panel of the PC/MAC software allows you to adjust the color of the image. and brightness to the
