Beautiful soft alpaca blend with self forming stripes

Develops beautifully into self forming stripes as shown in photo. Nice and soft too. Alpaca wool keeps me warm, but not too much. Each strand is small but you will receive 3! I will buy more in other colors!

Itchy and scratchy, beautiful colors

I REALLY wanted to love this yarn but every time I pick it up it makes me itchy! Alpaca is said to be hypoallergenic, and I'm not allergic to wool or anything like that, but I can't handle this yarn. It's also very fluffy/loose which gives it airiness and softness but makes it incredibly split.

Don't dissolve! WIN

It was a win for my book! Definitely a nice change from the regular Walmart yarn I usually get. The ONLY reason I bought this yarn was because a friend asked me to crochet a white puppy with this yarn. Now I want to say that it stayed tightly woven and didn't unravel when I repeated the warps like some types of yarn do. I thought the yarn was a little bigger than it was but hey it did the job! Well made, I will buy again.

Heavier than worsted, 5 more than 4.

The color (red) is beautiful and the clothes will definitely be warm. However, it is heavier than 4 (worsted), more like a five. Unfortunately I didn't rehearse before I started so I have to rip the stitches and start over. For that reason alone I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise the yarn looks decent, a bit stiff but fairly even. The red isn't the base red I was expecting, but it's nice nonetheless. I also ordered gray but haven't received it yet.

Mainly acrylic

Pay special attention. The description led me to believe that this is an alpaca wool blend, it is mainly acrylic (85% acrylic and 15% alpaca fiber), very disappointed as I wanted to use a higher quality product for my project. It's not what I expected, but honestly I should have paid more attention to the details. My rating ranges from 1 star to 3 stars. I would give 3 ½ stars if that was an option

Overpriced standard synthetic yarn

I wanted to love this yarn but sadly I didn't. Photo number 1 is how it came, photo number before that is a comparison with my insanely small hand, photo number 3 is a pattern. Quality: Like any cheap synthetic yarn, not soft, rather coarse. Colour: I was expecting a bit of a vintage look, maybe a little more rusty. Price: You are also buying the same quality but a cheaper brand. Absolutely not worth the price, maybe I'm the only reviewer because others already knew it wasn't going to be the…
