The purchase did not bring joy, the product is bad.

I bought it for the sake of speeding up the computer, and it really accelerated. But reliability is now in question. It was good enough to just move the system disk there, and at the same time make a backup copy of it. If anything, a spare hdd is already at the ready)

Pros
  • Small, light, compact, fast
Cons
  • After 3 weeks, 10 bad blocks appeared 😱 Which, according to the proprietary utility from WD, is 4% of the resource of this disk. And this is with a total recording volume of less than 1TB. Somehow quite figovenko, to put it mildly!

I have not regretted the purchase, everything is fine.

In general, I’m satisfied, I’m thinking of ordering another one of the same ssd from this seller in the future, but I’ll wait until the price drops a little, but I recommend it!

Pros
  • Excellent ssd, the declared speed corresponds, it arrived packed in the original packaging.
Cons
  • After screwing it to the case, the outer cover squeezed out with a banana, I pulled the screws complete with the case for ssd, as usual, maybe the screws are too long, after unscrewing the cover it leveled off, but it doesn’t snap on to the end on one side anymore, I think the problem is most likely in the screws, do not tighten strongly.

Disgusting quality, impossible to use.

Do not buy. Not worth your money. I used it as an additional hard drive. In fact, I wrote down the information and did not practically use it. Can't be returned under warranty.

Bad product, not worth the money.

Was taken to replace the old Seagate 7200 HDD in a Lenovo X201 laptop. Notebook 2022-2022 release. With the old hard, the laptop does not have any difficulties, it is replaced solely according to the logic "it's over 10 years old, it's time. " Depending on luck, this SSD either works fine after turning on the laptop, or starts to go into some kind of major blocking for 1-2 minutes every 30-60 seconds. At the same time, the disk operation light just stays on (does not flicker), and no disk…

No more 5 year guarantee?

I have ordered many of these hard drives, a pair of 256, 500 and 1TB. Today I got 500 GB for raid1, a few months ago I already had a second 500, and when I put two packages next to each other, I noticed that the old one has a 5-year warranty and the new one has a 3-year warranty! I've compared SKUs, model numbers and more and they are identical in every way except for the warranty. I've read the document in the box which also states the 3 year warranty but when I look at the retailers'…

Recommended in Computers & Accessories

I've bought hundreds of drives over the years (I'm an old computer tech) and it always comes down to Western Digital & Seagate for standard mechanical drives; and Western Digital or Samsung for SSD drives. I prefer Western Digital for the mechanical type, but for an SSD type like the blue 500GB drive mentioned here, either Samsung or WD (I have several) will work just fine. Choose the cheapest of the two, they are both high quality drives.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • I'll write back later

I bought this SSD HD to replace and upgrade my daughter's HP Pavilion laptop (original HD was a traditional Segate 5400rpm 500GB SATA II HD laptop). years due to newer Windows operating systems (migration from Windows 7 to Windows 10) and new requirements for current software. Needless to say, this is very annoying for someone trying to get their schoolwork done. PROS: Nothing but praise CONS: Absolutely none Recommended additional software and tools to update your hard drive with: - (Necessary

Very fast and works on desktop

I bought this 1TB WD Blue SSD to replace a hard drive which I thought was the likely cause of some of the data corruption found on a High-end desktop can be seen. I also had to purchase a SATA III cable and 2.5" to 3.5" adapter bracket to fit the desktop bay as they are not included with the drive. The disk didn't come with any helpful instructions, but this procedure worked: 1. Power off2. Leave the original disk as is; Connect the new drive to a power source and an unused SATA connector on…

Guarantee information is misleading!

Guarantee information is misleading A three-year guarantee is stated on the packaging and in the instructions for use. Bought because of the 5 year guarantee. So I registered the disc on the site and this indicates that the warranty is actually five years. I downloaded Acronis True Image WD version from wpc website and it worked great. I have Windows 7 and everything went smoothly. My original drive is 1TB and had a lot of free space. I resized to less than 500GB via Microsoft Disk Management…

Good upgrade for older Win 7 machines

Bought 6 of these to upgrade old office PCs and milk them for another year or so. These are Dell Win 7 machines that now boot in 15-20 seconds versus 2-3 minutes before. Everything boots faster, and SSDs give the impression of being a much faster computer without a faster processor or memory. Within a reasonable. Programs that are already running do not need to be accelerated. But for the old ones who only have 4GB of RAM, this should also speed up the shuffling of data in RAM into the paging…

Western Digital relies on WD Blue 3D NAND 2TB SSD for PC WDS200T2B0A!

Now that the SSD prices are reasonable, I decided it was time to upgrade my 2011 Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP700Z5C laptop. I replaced the original Seagate 1TB 5400RPM hard drive with a Western Digital WDS200T2B90A 2TB SSD. To prepare, I used a USB 3.0 to SATA adapter that I bought here at Revain for $7. I used Acronis True Image to partition and clone the original drive and then swapped the drives. Accessing the internal components of the Series 7 involved loosening the screws securing the…

The first plate died after 6 months, the second DOA.

I bought a 1TB WD 3D NAND SSD to use in my gaming system for an extra performance boost. I've been using SSDs (namely Samsung) in laptops and other machines for years with no problems. I was warned about WD quality issues in the days of old drives, but the quality has improved a lot in this market, so considering the price, I decided to give this SSD a try. Big mistake. Here's the breakdown: After about 6 months, the computer starts blue screening quite frequently. Windows Update fails to…

It's like a new computer

I would give 5 if I based my rating solely on product performance but there are other factors to consider and they don't allow people to give 9/10 stars, it really is a star rating for the product (to me). First, let me start with the only negative point about the WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB SSD for PC - SATA III; Western Digital's website only offers an Acronis True image for cloning your existing drive, and this is a stripped down version that doesn't contain any error messages or logs and doesn't…
