Review on Blue NAND 500GB SSD WDS500G2B0A by Adam Libera ᠌

Bad product, not worth the money.

Was taken to replace the old Seagate 7200 HDD in a Lenovo X201 laptop. Notebook 2022-2022 release. With the old hard, the laptop does not have any difficulties, it is replaced solely according to the logic "it's over 10 years old, it's time. " Depending on luck, this SSD either works fine after turning on the laptop, or starts to go into some kind of major blocking for 1-2 minutes every 30-60 seconds. At the same time, the disk operation light just stays on (does not flicker), and no disk operations arecommpleted. The Windows Resource Monitor simply does not draw any graphics to this disk at such times. Tried different BIOS settings. In AHCI mode, it is almost always buggy. In IDEcommpatibility mode, the speed drops to ~ 160 Mb / s, it bugs less often, but when it bugs, it's just as deadly. Checking the health of the sectors in AOMEI Partition Assistant shows that everything is fine. The native WD Dashboard utility thinks everything is fine. Whencomnnecting to a modern desktop to clone the old hard - no problem. The disk firmware has been ated to the latest, the BIOS firmware of the laptop has also been ated (the latest in this case is 2022). It seems that there is somecommpatibility issue at the hardware level, but this is not an excuse. Firstly, the laptop, although old, is from a reputable manufacturer. Secondly, I am by no means alone with such a misfortune, the topic on the manufacturer's official forum is long, does not subside to this day, and applies to the entire SA510 line: -sa510-issues/279814 Do not take.
