Bad design is good for accessories

As in the photo in the addendum - The weight of the Blue Yeti microphone falls on the support plug. Causes the microphone assembly to hang (dangle) at a 45 degree angle. The eye fork failed (broke) immediately upon tightening the T-handle. A trip to the hardware store (6mm x 1), nut, bolt and washers, + epoxy fixed the jack plug issue. Note: The male connector is not needed when the microphone is on the telescopic pole. If the boom is articulated, the fork-fork is reduced to nothing. Hello…

Not as comfortable as I would like, but very nice.

Overall, this is the perfect blue yeti, especially at this price point. My biggest issue is that the screw to attach the mic to the mount seems to be too long as it really can't be tightened at the point where the mic doesn't rotate on the mount. I know the blue Yetis aren't very good at thread quality control, but as far as I know there isn't a thread depth issue, so I can only attribute this issue to the mount itself. Pretty good overall, especially if you don't want to pay at least 4x more…

Twist Screw Strip - Poor Design

I've been using this mount for a year and every 2-3 months I have had to tighten the thumbscrew slightly to keep the mount in place. I didn't regulate it at all - just trying to keep the angle I set at the very beginning. Eventually the threads became loose, mainly because the threads on the thumbscrew stopped too soon. This allows you to insert an unthreaded shank into the threaded end without tightening the connection. Adding to the poor design, there is no friction material on the mating…

Almost perfect: Brackets

A gem for all important applications (isolation of microphone vibrations, optical improvement of the structure). The only really tricky part was getting used to the stretcher. I had to change the tightening of the bolt that the shock absorber was attached to (docking sprockets are not suitable for this). When the bolt didn't sag from the weight, I found that the shock loop had sagged. I had to tighten the shock at the wrong angle and then tilt it back to add extra force to keep the pivot from…

Sagi is not good. in Microphones and Accessories

There's one small problem with a really decent product: tightening that corner screw that allows you to angle the Yeti at 90°, 12°, 45° or whatever can hang up . a strong man with a handshake that would make the Attorney General wonder if I was a mafia or a worthy donor. While pulling this thing, I teleported into Arnold Schwarzenegger to defeat Skynet and help me with this thing as well. This is just the beginning. It sags when things sag, everyone notices. It's like 0 degrees when I started…

Doesn't hold a microphone.

Unfortunately, this mount doesn't really hold the microphone in place. The mounting screw is too deep/high/thick (whichever way you want to look at it). With threads, that wasn't a problem. The threads are perfect for the microphone. Rather, the female end of the mic was flat compared to the depth/height/thickness of the stud. When the screw was fully threaded into the mic, there was a gap of about 1/8 inch between the bottom of the mic and the top of the mount, causing the mic to "wiggle" back
